The Church of England is actively planning its next steps in line with the national strategy for a safe, phased recovery. At present our churches are closed for public worship and likely to be so until the beginning of July at the earliest.
In the meantime we continue to support and care for one another, both neighbour and stranger and we give thanks that although we are not in our church buildings, we are able to worship in new ways and still conduct church business, thanks to modern technology.
Bishop Rose has asked that we use the nine days between Ascension and Pentecost ( 22nd – 30th May) for prayer and reflection. Resources for the Novena and for the global prayer movement “Thy Kingdom Come” can be found at https://www.canterburydiocese.org/novena- and www.thykingdomcome.global
We hope that you have found time to rest and derived some benefit from this time of enforced isolation.
Keep safe and well
Christine, Tess and Brian
