



The existing heating is far from being efficient, effective or aesthetic.
Inadequate heating units mean a cold, damp church.
Visitors, and the regular congregation ought to be comfortably warm.
At present there is no audio system other than a small mobile unit that is cumbersome to move.
The acoustics in the church are unsatisfactory because of the layout, with the tower in the middle.

During a recent service, when the church was full to capacity, it was difficult for some people to hear the children speaking.
The hearing-
As with all old buildings, repairs are constantly needed to ensure it survives the ravages of time.
This is even more important when that building is an ancient Church.
The existing Vestry doubles as a kitchen and storage area: not ideal! Also, there are no toilets.
St. Stephen’s has some wonderful stained glass. The repair and maintenance of it is compulsory.
Many areas of St. Stephen’s need of serious decoration. The remainder just need
a freshen-
The existing lighting is high up and the halogen bulbs often ‘blow’. The old pendant lamps are redundant.
